Thembisile Hani residents are caught in the middle of a water safety dispute — and we want to hear from you.
Thembisile Hani Local Municipality insists it is no longer receiving water from Tshwane's E. coli-contaminated Bronkhorstspruit plant . But municipal employees claim otherwise, saying areas like KwaMhlanga, Moloto, Sun City, Thembalethu, Phola and Vezubuhle still rely on that supply .
Tshwane has warned that tap water from the plant is unsafe — only for flushing toilets — after 408 gastrointestinal illness cases were reported in surrounding areas . Thembisile Hani did not issue a public warning to its own residents .
